My Little Joseph

Zac was having a serious conversation with Santa Clause

We had our Christmas party at church last night, and Zac got to be Joseph when the kids sang. They sang The Nativity Song that tells about the birth of Christ. He was Joseph, and the bishop's daughter Emily Holloway was Mary. They looked so cute! Some of the other kids dressed like shepherds and angels. It was really sweet. He was so excited and of course I am partial, but he was adorable! There is nothing sweeter than children's voices singing praises to our Savior.

Thanksgiving At Tolar!

He was very serious about the horse shoes!

All of these little girls are in his class, they begged me to take their picture with Zac. Amber, Alyssa, and Mia. I guess he is already a ladies man!

Zac and his sand art, it is the Indian symbol for Rain.

Last week Tolar had a Thanksgiving Festival for K-2 grades. I was able to be with Zac for part of the day. We had so much fun learning about the Indians and their customs. We did sand art, made Indian headbands, and played lots of games. Zac got his face painted like an Indian and he thought he was so cool! I also got to eat a Thanksgiving lunch with him in the lunch room. There were lots of parents eating with their kids. I will have to say that the company was better than the food! It was a nice way to start the Thanksgiving holiday!

Would The Real Indiana Jones Please Stand?

Zac andAlex

Zac and Christopher

I know I am a little late with my Halloween pics, but we have been really busy lately. So, here they are! As you can see, Zac and Chief were both Indiana Jones for Halloween this year. Chief was less than excited to be dressed up and taking pictures! I thought they were just adorable! Zac had a busy Halloween weekend, He had parties at school, a costume parade, and Trunk-or-Treat on Friday. Then, Saturday we went to a Halloween party at his friend Graham's house. He was worn out after all of that excitement! And so was I!!!!! But, It was fun, and I am so glad to be at his school now so I can be a part of everything he does! Here are some pics of Zac and His brother Christopher, and one of him and his brother Alex. I am glad they get to spend time together, and I know he loves it too.

Red Ribbon Week!

This week at school has been red ribbon week. We have been learning about saying no to drugs! Each day we got to wear different things to help us remember. One day was sunglasses day to "Shade Out Drugs" and then yesterday was camo day to "Join the Fight Against Drugs"! Zac has really enjoyed the festivities and I am so glad that I was able to be there with him! I Went on a field trip on Wednesday with the 2nd grade to Wallwood Boyscout Camp for Science Day. It was nice to get outside for a little bit, but I was glad to get back in the quiet of my little clinic away from those obnoxious children!

I am about to take some pictures of Zac and the dog in their matching Halloween costumes:) Yes, I said the dog has a Halloween costume, I mean, we had a birthday party for this dog so he has to have a costume, right? So, keep checking back and be prepared for the angry dog in the Indiana Jones suit!

Tolar Fun Day!

Yesterday at Tolar, all of the kids got their new Tolar shirts and got there picture made in the shape of the word Tolar. The helicopter flew over them to take the picture. It was pretty neat. Then they had all of the safety vehicles outside for the kids to look at and learn about. I think they all had a blast. I got some cute shots of Zac and Jordan and Zac and Christopher in their Tolar shirts before I had to run back inside to handle a minor emergency with one of my students. It was a pretty fun day. One of the many perks of my new job as the school nurse. I love being able to be there for all of the fun stuff that Zac is involved in!

While the Cat's Away, The Mice Will Play!

Last weekend while Mom and I were getting ready to go run some errands and go visit. Granny, Taylor was on the roof blowing off the leaves. Pretty harmless, right? Then we noticed that it was awful loud up there and a lot of stomping around, so we went outside to see what she was doing. This is what we found! Taylor was not alone up there! Dad decided that Zac should get some practice moving about on the roof so he wouldn't be scared when it was his turn to blow off the leaves. Sounds logical, right? To a man maybe! Zac was having a blast RUNNING around on the roof and I said I better not be getting any more calls telling me to meet anyone at the ER for stitches! Oh, and about his wardrobe, he dressed himself to go outside to work with his Pop. He was complete with belt and boots and all. My little man!

Dancing With The Stars!

Last night, Kristin and I had an awesome experience. We got to take a dance lesson from Jonathan Roberts! For those of you who don't watch Dancing With The Stars, he is one of the professional dancers on the show. He came to Fred Astaire in Tallahassee to teach a few classes. He taught some group classes last night and we were able to go! It was so cool! And, to top it off, we both got to actually dance with Jonathan Roberts! How cool is that! I am so glad that we got the chance to do that. It was amazing!

We're The Best Of Friends!

Just another little moment in the lives of Zac and his BFF Chief! As you can see, they do everything together. They are just so cute! My two boys!

My Little Wizard!

Zac has been into the whole wizard thing lately. He has been watching the Disney show "The Wizards of Waverly Place." He has been wearing his Mickey Mouse wizard hat all week. Curry told him he needed to watch the Harry Potter movies. He got them from Pop's house and has been watching them all day. He found his bath robe and put that on with his wizard hat. He came out asking for a broom and has been waving his wand around. He has such a great imagination! Maybe someday he can put it to good use! I just had to take some pictures and post them for y'all. Enjoy!

Secret Hideout!

Chief has discovered a new comfy place in the corner between the couch and the elliptical machine and he likes to sleep there in the evenings while I am still up. Zac has now discovered that he too likes to snuggle up with chief in that corner. Twice now I have found the two of them snoring together in their little hideout. It is just so sweet! It is really not a very big corner, but Zac thinks it's great. Last night he slept there almost all night! I can't really get back there to move him, and he looks pretty comfy to me! I remember when I could sleep in tiny places like that, Not any more! I can't even sleep on the floor anymore without getting a back ache!

Gone To The Dogs!

Here is Zac helping Chief blow out his candle!
Lola and Rascal, they are less than enthusiastic about the hats!
Loulie and Molly, Molly really wants some of that cake!
The Gangs all here! Jeddi, Lola, Molly, Rascal, and Chief.

Well, our baby Chief turned a year old on Friday, September 5th! Zac has been planning a party for months!!!!!! He wanted to rent a big blow-up moon jumper and everything for it! I have had to tone it down a lot, but the party did take place and what a party it was! All of the family dogs came, and Loulie brought her dog Molly too. Mom and I made a bone shaped cake, and we made "doggy" party favor bags for the party guests to take home with them. Chief got some nice presents and we all had a blast! Zac made a little speech and told everyone that he hoped to see everyone at all of Chief's future birthdays! (I hope that doesn't mean that this is going to be an annual event!) Taylor thought that this was the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard of, "He is just a dog!" she said. I told her that the party was really not for Chief, it was for Zac, and that when she had her own children, she would understand! She just rolled her eyes. Ah, the things we do for love!

My Little Ninja!

Zac wanted to see how long his belt was, so he laid next to it and it was longer than he was! He looks so little next to it!

So, Zac finally coerced me into letting him go to Taekwando class. He actually talked his Nana into talking me into letting him go! Thanks Chaille'! He has been obcessed with the Ninja Turtles all summer, so I am really not all that surprised! Anyway, Mrs. Teressa's little boy Graham had a suit that she gave us and all he has talked about for the past week is when are we going, and can he get a white belt, and blah, blah, blah, taekwando! He has driven me insane about it! So, we finally got to go tonight, and he loved it! I was nervous, because he is so hyper and talkative, but he did surprisingly well. He payed attention and did what he was told. I was so relieved! The teacher was great and very good with kids! The kids minded him and he was I think Taylor and I are going to try it out next week to see if we like it. We want to do it for exercise! I think it will be good for all of us. We will see what happens!

A Bittersweet Day!

Me and Mrs. Teressa
Jody, Delynda, me, and Cheryl- The Fantastic Four!
Me and Melissa Delores, Volena, Me, Dr. Joty, and Cheryl

Friday was my last day at Blountstown Family Practice. Monday I will be starting my new job as the school nurse at W.R. Tolar School. I am really excited about this new adventure, but I was still very sad to leave everybody in Blountstown. I have worked there for 4 years and have made many close friends there. I cried all afternoon and every time someone would tell be bye, it would start all over again. I knew I would be sad, but I never thought it would be that hard! I really love everybody there! They are all my family and I am really going to miss seeing them every day and talking to them. They got me a cake, and some really pretty Vera Bradley stuff! I will always treasure the time I spent there and I know the friendships I made there will last forever!

1st Day of School!

Here is Zac with his teacher Mrs. Sherry Flowers.

Well, my baby started 1st grade on Wednesday, and he was so excited! When he got in his classroom, he had a desk with his name on it, and it had books in it, and he was thrilled! His brother Christopher was starting Kindergarten and we got to see him in the hallway. We got some shots of him and his cousin Jordan. I found the one of them on their 1st day of Pre-K and I can't believe how how much they have grown. We are going to take a picture of them every year on the 1st day of school. I said even when they are in high school and fuss about it! They will appreciate it one day! Anyway, he said he had a good day and stayed on the Green Apple all day! I guess that means he was good! We will see how long that lasts!

"Hello, this is your captain speaking!"

Zac became fast friends with the pilot and captain of the plane on our flight home. They let him tour the front of the plane and see what they do. The captain took his picture and e-mailed it to me. Zac was so excited and I wanted to share it with everyone!

Pearl Harbor

One of the coolest places we went this week was to Pearl Harbor. It was just so amazing to see all of the pictures and hear all of the history and stories about that terrible thing that happened there. I mean, we have learned about it our whole lives, and then to stand where it actually happened, and see the sunken ship was just unreal! It made it very real and not just a story that I had been told. Zac was so interested in everything about it. We took the audio tour of the site and museum and he listened to every word of it! He was very concerned about what had happened there and he said "Mama, is that war still happening right now?" I told him that we were in the middle of a new war now. I was so impressed with how he was paying so much attention to what was being said. He watched the movie that they showed about it and was amazed about seeing the sunken ship and all of the artifacts. It was just so amazing to see all of the stuff that they had there. It was a very moving experience!
